Fuengirola night life starts LATE at KK
Fuengirola nightlife, as is typical throughout Costa del Sol, doesn’t get going until after 11PM or midnight, and stylish partiers won’t hit the clubs till 1:00AM, so if you’re looking for pre-party cocktails or drinks during sportscasts, try Jackson’s Bar, which opens at 10PM, and is easy to find next door to Karbon Klub. Both Jackson’s Bar and KK have modern décor, an upbeat mood and friendly staff.
Although the Fuengirola Costa del Sol nightlife clubbing scene may not begin in earnest until midnight or later, there are two exceptions. Earlier in the evening there are dozens of fuengirola bars and terraces offering tapas and copas, cool beers and fruity cocktails ideal for enjoying sunsets, beach views and sea breezes along the Paseo Marítimo. The Costa del Sol also gets lots of celebrity guest shows, live concerts and special international DJs and musical group appearances throughout the summer at Fuengirola bars and clubs like Karbon Klub. On such nights, frequent in June, July & August, the clubs open as early as 9PM. They offer 2 for 1 drinks from 9PM til 1AM during the show or concert, after which clubbing begins as usual. The hottest nights for serious clubbers are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1AM to 6AM, but Sunday is also a party night at KK and other Fuengirola beach bars, and the hours are the same as Saturday.
Ambiance at Karbon Klub Fuengirola Costa del Sol
KK isn’t another one of the many Fuengirola bars with stools around a bar with a plasma screen and a miniscule dance floor, but rather a contemporary nightclub with a sleek urban ambiance. The blend of icy blue, cool violet and warm fuchsia lighting creates an indigo-purple glow that glides into every corner of Karbon Klub, even into the dimpled-buttons of the thickly padded semi-circle VIP lounge areas. The place has a retro-modern atmosphere of Vegas meets 1940s Hollywood chic, with open-style cubicles for groups and private parties. A booth is considered a “table” and provides comfortable seating for groups of ten; the “minimum spend” per table starts around a hundred euros, however it’ll depend on the table, the number of people and the musical group, DJ or event scheduled that night. To reserve a table and inquire about the minimum spend for a particular night, view Karbon Klub’s online event page or give them a call. Ask about extras like party banners, balloons and free Cava. Amongst Fuengirola bars and clubs, Karbon Klub prides itself on going the extra mile for clients, and this attitude hasn’t gone unnoticed. For the past two years KK has received enthusiastic reviews by tourists who’ve stumbled into the club as well as by locals who’ve planned group functions and private parties in the Karbon Klub VIP areas.
Specials & SPIRITS Menu at Karbon Klub Near Fuengirola Beach
With Karbon Klub just a few meters from the Paseo Marítimo along the main Fuengirola beach area, it’s no wonder the cocktail menu has a seaside party flair, including Drink Pitchers with names like: Blue Movie, Clockwork Orange, Cherry Pepsi, Cheeky V and Champagne WooWoo. Although most Fuengirola bars offer shooters, known in Spanish as chupitos, the ones at KK are in keeping with beachside partying and include: Berry Cherry, Green Meanie, Slippery Nipple, Chilli Jack, Golden Delicious, Traffic Light, Blue Lagoon, Tutti Fruiti and Monkey Brain! Shooters at Karbon Klub may have impish names but the prices are affordable.
For upscale partying and group functions, KK provides a Spirits Menu with Exakt, Smirnoff, Belvedere Polish Vodka, Crystal Head, as well as various Whiskey, Gin, Rum and Brandy brands, with full bottles starting at eighty euros, which includes 10 mixers. Champagnes available include: Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Laurent Perrier Rose, Armand de Brignac and of course Spanish Cava free for groups. Fiestas in Fuengirola can be retro-elegant, beach-party crazy or sexy-sensuous at KK.
Fuengirola – not Fuengerola
A common misspelling for the city is Fuengerola, and although maps and Internet searches will correct this mistake, the real FUENGIROLA Costa del Sol, pronounced “fuenheerola”, is situated about thirty kilometers southeast of Malaga city. The municipalities that border it are Benalmádena and Mijas, with the Mediterranean sea and the famous Fuengirola beach areas stretching eight kilometers along the urban coastline. These beaches are divided into seven main Playas, all accessible from Fuengirola’s Paseo Marítimo. The beaches are: Carvajal, Torreblanca, Las Gaviotas, San Francisco, Fuengirola, Santa Amalia and Castillo also known as El Ejido.
When looking for places to stay while partying around the Fuengirola beach area keep in mind that the big hotels on the waterfront may be convenient, but aren’t characteristically Spanish or necessarily quaint, romantic or relaxing. There are two types of hotels in Fuengirola Costa del Sol: the high-rise or condo style apartment hotels opposite the beach, and the small Hostels, boutique hotels or guest houses that are a few streets inside the city or a short distance into the countryside. One of the only picturesque Costa del Sol Fuengirola accommodations is Boutique Hotel Las Islas on Calle Canela, Torreblanca del Sol, just a two minutes walk to Carvajal and Torreblanca beaches. Las Islas Hotel is small and charming; a singular romantic getaways in Fuengirola. For standard accommodation close to the waterfront, try Stella Maris Fuengirola apartment hotel near San Francisco beach or the Confortel Fuengirola Hotel at 87 Paseo Marítimo Rey de España near Las Gaviotas / Los Boliches beach areas.
